Namibia: On the farm Duruchaus and the neighbouring farm Narais in central Namibia, BIOTA investigates the impact of grazing on the vegetation. Small experimental sites are employed to exclude grazing completely (Photo) or to allow only short grazing periods with long resting phases respectively, in order to investigate the role of resting for the regeneration of the vegetation.
