Weather data
A large number of automatic weather stations has been implemented in the frame of the BIOTA AFRICA project by the Namibian National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) and the Group "Biodiversity, Evolution and Ecology" (BEE) of the University of Hamburg. The website offers hourly updates of data and graphs of a large number of weather parameters.

Project description

A herbarium plays in an important role in research and capacity building on plant diversity and conservation. To provide a reference for botanical research we have already started in phase II to establish a regional lichen and bryophyte herbarium in the National Museum of Kenya/Nairobi and Makarere University as a local reference data bank for future biodiversity assessment.
